Hey family, so transfer calls came and I am staying in Kennewick, in the Ridgeview and Ridgeline wards. They remind me a lot like home. Young families and a lot of active members. Our ward is still bigger though haha.  I also got a new companion.  I loved Elder Hickey so much!!! The first day with the new companion was really hard. I was feeling pretty depressed, and I missed elder hickey.  But a few days passed, and we talked with quite a few people and I feel a whole ton better! And I also thought, "this area isn't that bad". We have two progressing investigators who are gonna get baptized on March 19th!! Which is so exciting. But Elder Hickey was just so awesome, probably one of my favorite companions (Even though I love all my companions equally as elder hickey haha). The work in these two areas is a lot different than other areas. Tracting is out of the question, unless we feel inspired by the spirit or something haha.

Dad, your email was just what I needed. Its like you new what was going on or something haha. Thanks so much, it is helping me out a lot. There is definitely something we can learn from every aspect of our lives!

So my new companions name is Elder Woodhead, from Providence, Utah, but originally from Georgia. He has been living in Utah for 2 years.

Thanks for the cookies yall sent me! They all got smashed though haha. That's ok, we have ice cream, and  I put it in there haha. Please let me know where all these kids are gonna go on their missions, I would love to know! And mom, its true that you cry every time you are on the pulpit, but that's ok haha. And tell Jake Petersen hi for me! And that possibly I might work there for a little bit but not likely haha...but we will see. I am also jealous of you dad for going snowmobiling!!! You went last year, right? Sounds like fun. Tell tag and porter to keep up the good work! I plan on writing tag a late birthday letter!

So we had a stake conference yesterday, and we had an area seventy come, named Elder Blunck. And of course, he talks about MISSIONARY WORK!!! YAAY! There is a statistic that says it takes 5-7 positive interactions with an invite from a member of the church, before that person says yes to an invitation. SO...invite always and never stop inviting. Open your mouth is what he talked about as well. So keep on inviting everyone to everything!!!! Elder Blunck shared a story where he invited his sister to a baptism, and then she got baptized and he invited more of his family to her baptism and then a chain reaction happened and a lot of his family got baptized. It was cool, you had to be there haha.

Anyways, I love all of you! I hope you have a great day! The sun is starting to shine here. I cant wait for summer! I have some pictures here to send yall! Love ya!!

Hey family, how yall doing? My companion is from Tennessee and he always says yall, so now he's got me saying yall haha. Everything is going pretty good! Kennewick is still cold and windy and ugly. I do miss Spanish a lot, but we have an investigator who is Spanish speaking, so I get to speak with her once in awhile. That's pretty fun haha. The members are pretty cool here, we get fed every single day! I weighed 185 a few weeks ago but now I am back at 180. The work in this area is a lot different than most areas. Tracting is really ineffective. So we have a lot of work to do through the members. On Saturday we did a bunch of service. From 8 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon. It was a long day.  We had a lesson with our one investigator, and we started talking about the word of wisdom but then we started talking about other stuff. She has three things that she wants to give up. Anger, Guilt, and Saddness. She said that she gave the anger to Christ. It was so cool to hear that! She said she will get baptized when the rest have been taken away. So that was really cool. And guess what! I guy me and Elder Snow taught in Pendleton, just got baptized!!! We found him and taught him 3 lessons, and then handed him to the YSA missionaries, and he got baptized! I am so happy. He was so prepared and ready to get baptized. And I also heard that he visited the temple with the YSA peeps and he loved it! That made me so happy when I heard that. Exciting things!! yesterday, we got to watch a broadcast from Salt lake to this area. Elder Renlund talked to us. It was really cool. He talked about how we can respond to Gospel questions. We should start out by explaining the 1st vision and that God has called prophets to receive revelation. IT was super cool, you had to be there. And sister oscarson gave a really good talk as well. She had a really good quote: "If someone accused you of being Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?" That quote just slapped me right in the face. So I will let all yall chew on that one haha. Tell Tag happy birthday!!!! And tell pman that yes I will ordain him to a deacon, that would be so awesome! Love you all, and have a great day!!!!!!

Hi family, how are you doing? Sorry I didn't write much last week, we were busy the whole day. This week was pretty good. Kennewick is a pretty hard area. Tracting is the most ineffective finding activity in the whole world. Our two wards have been tracted so much. So we are trying out new finding ideas. Like one set of missionaries is putting on a lacrosse camp. We are gonna go to the seminary and eat lunch with the kids. And any ideas you guys have please do tell! We have 2 investigators who are progressing really well. They came to church for the 3rd time. They are so awesome. Tonight we are going to have a lesson and invite them to be baptized. And I heard that someone I taught in Pendleton, is getting baptized this Saturday! I was so excited to hear that. It is so cool to hear people getting baptized in old areas. There was one day this week where it was pretty rough. I was just mad the whole day cause there were so many things that just made me mad. But we went to dinner that night and the member family just cheered me up! It was awesome. The Lord truly can bless us so many ways. Earlier that day I was praying for help, and the Lord helped me. So, I know Nathan Smith, he was my zone leader in Hermiston. And there was an Elder Bethea in this mission, but I never knew him. So that is pretty cool haha. And there is no Richmond Washington mom. Its called Richland haha. But maybe I will be in richland, we will see. I have been so tired lately. After being out for 16 months, you get worn out haha :) I continue to learn great and awesome things. My companion was studying and he came across a quote from Neal A. Maxwell : "Don't let proximate problems undermine ultimate realities" . I will let you all chew on that one. So my companion is from Castalian Springs, Tennessee. He's got that southern accent haha.
So something we are trying to do is focus on the Doctrine of Jesus Christ. Faith in him, repentance, baptism, receiving the holy ghost, and enduring to the end. So you guys can study that too. Our purpose as missionaries is to invite people to do these things. It is pretty awesome if you think about it. And thanks dad for the talk, I will definitely read it. We all need to focus on Christ a little more. Thanks so much I love you guys! I will send you pictures!  Thanks I love you!
